Grab is partnering with the ministry through the Retail Digitalisation (ReDI) initiative to expand adoption of cashless payment by small businesses.

The programme introduces traditional merchants in markets and retail outlets to various e-wallets.

Meanwhile, Director, Public Affairs and Policy Grab Malaysia, Ebi Azly Abdullah said we are honoured to collaborate with the KPDNHEP in the Retail Digitalisation (ReDI) initiative.

“Under this initiative, we hope to work closely with the Ministry to help expand cashless adoption to more Malaysians through our platform.”

This initiative kicked off in Kuala Berang, Terengganu over the weekend, officiated by the KPDNHEP Deputy Minister Datuk Rosol Wahid, who also said that the Government is targeting 15,200 micro and small traders nationwide by the end of 2022.

Ebi also said, this partnership is in line with our ongoing commitment to digitize traditional and small businesses through our innovative and inclusive solutions so they can thrive in the digital economy.

This includes our recent launch of the Minggu Peniaga Kecil campaign, together with the Ministry to support small businesses across Malaysia.

By embracing digital solutions, small businesses stand to benefit from efficiency gains from less manual processing, more secured and faster payment solutions. – BACALAHMALAYSIA.MY/THE STAR
