The International Islamic Liquidity Management Corporation (IILM) has successfully completed the auction of US$1.35 billion (RM5.44 billion) short-term sukuk in three series of one-month, three-month, and six-month tenors.
In a statement today, IILM said the market has priced the three series — US$400 million of one-month tenor at 0.25 per cent; US$500 million of three-month tenor at 0.35 per cent, and US$450 million of six-month tenor at 0.40 per cent.
“Today’s successful auction outcome continues to underscore strong investor confidence in the IILM as global markets and economies face the prolonged impact of COVID-19.
“We are pleased that with today’s well-received milestone placement, which was fully covered in the early minutes of the auction window, the IILM has extended its 2021 track record of successful issuances,” said IILM chief executive officer Dr Umar Oseni.
The total amount of IILM sukuk outstanding is now US$3.51 billion. The IILM short-term sukuk programme is rated “A-1” by Standard & Poor’s. — BERNAMA
