The number of new Covid-19 cases shows no signs of abating as 9,353 more cases are recorded as of noon today.
This is the highest daily figure since the pandemic hit Malaysian shores last year.
Cases were at 9,180 yesterday. The first time Malaysia breached the 9,000 mark was on May 29 with 9,020 cases.
Selangor recorded 4,277 new cases, a slight dip from yesterday’s 4,400 but is still the state with the highest number of new infections.
This is followed by Kuala Lumpur (1,398) and Melaka (835).
“Negri Sembilan registered 638 new cases, followed by Johor (399), Kedah (364), Sarawak (352), Sabah (251), Pahang (247), Penang (180), Perak (145), Kelantan (89), Labuan (85), Terengganu (50), Putrajaya (39) and Perlis (four),” Dr Noor Hisham shared on social media today. – NST ONLINE
