KAKI BEDAL: Don’t Look But Search For The Truth

By Kaki Bedal

I looked at the Instagram site just now.

I saw someone highlighted how Ustaz Ebit Liew’s efforts in helping people in need, something about people needing computer accessories.

Praise to the Almighty that the good ustaz is doing something to help but given the numbers pleading for his help, what is the real situation on the ground, one wonders.

With the economy slowly responding to movement control measures, some believes that the state of emergency will help recovery by stopping politicking.

Praise to the Almighty for the country remain peaceful but one wonders whether economy is recovering or whether politicking has stopped.

Early in the day, I heard about how Covid-19 is still spreading with a politician reminding the public how his advice was disregarded about tightening monitoring and preventing inter state travel.

Praise to the Almighty that all or most of us are still able to give opinions on how to prevent the pandemic from getting worse but there are times when one wonders why good advice is being overlooked.

There’s also news about vaccines effectiveness and some countries already starting to vaccinate their population with Malaysia also in the process of deciding to do the same.

Praise to the Almighty that the country is able to purchase vaccines that are allegedly more than 90 percent effective but one wonders whether those who are against vaccination have a point as deaths are being reported after victims were being injected with the vaccines.

Billions had been spent to help the people deal with the pandemic with latest announced recently, called the Permai package.

Praise to the Almighty that the nation is able to spend that much to protect the rakyats’ welfare but one wonders whether there’s a simpler way of lessening citizens economic burden at this time, like tax exemption, not forgetting new round of bank moratorium too.

Many of us are still wondering about many other things in the current situation.

Post emergency, no traffic jams. No panic buying. No cinema is opened. No more schools in session as most is done online. No inter state travel. No more big gathering, etc.

There are many versions about all these things that’s happening around us. Which ones are true and which are false?

One cannot just read from one or two sources. Judge only through variety of sources and reports, if you want to be certain about the truth.

Praise the Almighty too that searching for the truth is allowed.
