A three-year strategic plan, Hijrah24, is expected to revive Lembaga Tabung Haji’s business activities and investments.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said it will ensure continuity and excellence of the pilgrim’s fund on an ongoing basis.
“Since the Covid-19 pandemic hit, companies and businesses have been affected and they had to face drastic changes in their respective operation structures.
“I am sure Tabung Haji (TH) was not exempted from doing this as to sustain themselves and to be credible in line with the times.
Ismail Sabri said the TH strategic plan was developed in line with the values and characteristics of Keluarga Malaysia, which inculcates values such as inclusion, togetherness and gratitude.
He said TH had also set six main targets following the set up of Hijrah24 such as to increase funds to RM100 billion in 2024.
“TH is also set to increase the number of depositors covering more than 50 per cent of the country’s Muslim population.
“Thirdly, TH aims to have profits that are distributable to depositors at a rate in excess of 0.75 per cent of the Islamic rate of return.
“It also aims to increase users to more than four million users for its online service platform, THiJARI; to score over 90 per cent Customer Satisfaction Index as well as exceeding 75 per cent Member Engagement Index,” he said.
Also present at the event was Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Senator Datuk Idris Ahmad, Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Ahmad Marzuk Shaary and Lembaga Tabung Haji (LTH) chairman Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar. – NST ONLINE
