Promoting Made In Sabah SME Products To The French And European Businesses

Participation at SIAL Paris 2022 will bring new export opportunities for GLOPEC to market halal and healthful Sabah products

Between 15th to 19th October 2022, The Global Entrepreneur One Stop Centre (GLOPEC) will be participating in the SIAL (Salon International de l’Alimentation) Paris 2022 , the world’s largest food innovation exhibition at Paris Nord Villepinte .

This marks GLOPEC’s second trade promotion initiative after a successful UK Trade Mission and Taste of Sabah promotion in London in May this year.

The participation at SIAL Paris 2022 is the first for GLOPEC and as one of the initiatives planned in the 2020 Bumiputera Entrepreneur Development.

GLOPEC will be one of the exhibitors at the Malaysian Pavilion which is coordinated and organized by MATRADE.

GLOPEC is a platform established through the strategic partnership between Yayasan Sabah Group and Bumiputera Agenda Steering Committee (TERAJU) to assist Sabah SMEs in growing their business operations and connecting them to a large network of global suppliers and importers.

SIAL Paris 2022 centers around a five-day exhibition event designed to promote food and beverages products to the French and European market.

The delegation from GLOPEC and Sabah will make full use of this unique opportunity to meet in-person and build network with prospective wholesalers and distributors or online retailers who are interested in pursuing business and buy Made in Sabah products.

GLOPEC sees immense potential for the halal and healthful Sabah food and beverages as well as handicrafts sector to expand its outreach in this region as they appeal to consumers who find top notch healthy and delicious sustenance from Sabah irresistible.

“The French and European markets are international markets of significant growth with vast opportunities for business collaborations.

“GLOPEC is delighted to participate in SIAL Paris 2022 as it will assist in creating more opportunities for the Made in Sabah products to make their presence in the French and European market.” said YB Datuk Haji Ghulamhaidar @Yusof bin Khan Bahadar, Director of Yayasan Sabah and Executive Chairman of Innoprise Sdn Bhd.

“Yayasan Sabah is committed to supporting our SME entrepreneurs and there is a need to keep trade flourishing to ensure it can help underpin their business recovery post COVID-19 pandemic.

Through SIAL Paris 2022 we will enhance Made in Sabah products’ visibility and take vigorous efforts to engage wholesalers/distributors and online retailers in the French and European market.” – BACALAHMALAYSIA.MY
