Takaful Ikhlas Family Bhd has partnered with Majlis Agama Islam Negri Sembilan (MAINS) to improve the wellbeing of communities in the state.
The insurance provider said the company had entered into a memorandum of understanding with MAINS to focus on waqf programs for a period of five years.
The MoU allows Takaful Ikhlas to support MAINS in increasing its waqf contribution and providing the necessary knowledge and skills in business and self-development to the asnaf and youth in Negri Sembilan.
“This will be done through the Asnaf Entrepreneurship Program (AEP) and Youth Entrepreneurship Program (YEP),” it said.
Takaful Ikhlas president and chief executive officer Muhammad Fikri Mohamad Rawi said the partnership provided the opportunity for the company to reach out to those in need through effective waqf distribution.
Muhammad Fikri said Takaful Ikhlas would be working closely with MAINS to support the community through financial aids and engagement activities from the waqf takaful benefits contributed by our participant.
The activities and programmes under this partnership are also supported by Takaful Ikhlas’ Shariah-compliant fundraising platform Ikhlas Barakah House (IBH).
IBH aims to contribute to a positive and sustainable community through five main pillars – education, healthcare, economic empowerment, community enrichment and environment. – NST ONLINE
