Frontliners of Putrajaya Holdings Vaccinated

Some 600 workers of PjH involved in the construction, plant, and hospitality services received their first dose

Some 600 workers of Putrajaya Holdings Sdn. Bhd. (PjH) involved in the construction, plant, and hospitality services received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccines under the Federal Territory (FT) Ministry pilot programme, on Monday.

The vaccination exercise was part of the MYMedic@Wilayah Vaccine Mobile Truck programme aimed at speeding up vaccination of workers involved in essential sectors that are allowed to operate during the movement control order.

“This group consists individuals at high risk of being infected with COVID-19 even during the implementation of total lockdown and our team volunteered to receive the vaccine arranged by Putrajaya Holdings in collaboration with the FT Ministry,” said Dato’ Hashimah Hashim, Chief Executive Officer, Putrajaya Holdings Sdn. Bhd.

She added that Putrajaya Holdings encouraged its team to register for the vaccine in support of the government’s effort to achieve herd immunity earlier and applauded the Federal Territory Ministry for initiating the MYMedic@Wilayah Vaccine Mobile Truck programme.

The MYMedic@Wilayah Vaccine Mobile Truck initiative is among four measures being and will be implemented in the federal territories of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Labuan.

The full-day vaccination process, which began at 9 am proceeded smoothly and was conducted under a strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Vaccine recipient Zainal Abidin Abdullah, 53, Head Section from Project Management 2, who is involved in site operations said, “I signed up for the vaccine as it is an opportunity offered by my company so I wouldn’t want to miss it”.

“I am grateful to receive my first dose today. Thank you to Putrajaya Holdings and the FT Ministry for arranging this,” said Wan Raihanatun Wan Mohd Halim, 44 who is attached to Health, Safety, Security & Environment of Gas District Cooling Plant Putrajaya.
