Pas is prepared to face the 15th General Election (GE15) even if it is held at the end of this year, said Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah.
The party’s vice-president and Kelantan deputy menteri besar said the party’s machinery at all levels has been making the necessary preparations since the last general-election.
“Pas is ready to face GE15 if it is held any time from now as it has been our common practice to make early preparations to face the next general-election.
Mohd Amar, however, said yesterday’s reports that the GE15 could be held at the end of this year has yet to be confirmed.
He was commenting on a report yesterday claiming Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin had indicated that GE15 could be held at the end of the year.
Osman had said that Muhyiddin, the Bersatu president and also Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman, stated this during the party’s state-level online meeting on June 16.
The meeting, he said chaired by the party president, touched on many current issues including GE15 and the Covid-19 pandemic. – NST ONLINE
