Maybank users in Malaysia are the first in the country to make QR payments through Samsung Wallet.
Eligible Galaxy users can launch Maybank’s MAE Scan & Pay from the digital wallet before completing transactions through the banking app.
The service supports QR payments in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Cambodia.
The feature began rolling out on 21 July 2026 and is available on eligible Samsung Galaxy smartphones with the latest wallet and software updates.

Users can also earn Samsung Rewards points on eligible transactions. The points can be used to purchase Samsung products or redeem vouchers through the Samsung Members app.
A promotional campaign will run from 28 July to 30 October 2026, offering rewards worth up to RM500,000 in total.
Eligible customers can receive RM5 after connecting and activating the QR payment feature, as well as up to RM15 in cashback or vouchers when they spend. – FINTECH NEWS MALAYSIA
