Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today expressed his hope for the Employee Provident Fund (EPF) to reach a total of 70 per cent investments in the country this year.
The prime minister said the target could help in eradicating the hardcore poor in the country, as EPF had reached 64 per cent investment in the country last year.
“I see that the EPF investment in the country is quite high (last year) and I hope it could reach 70 per cent by this year.
“(And) we also need to remember to include the people’s needs (with the investment),” he said in his keynote address when officiating EPF’s Kwasa Damansara branch, here, today. – NST ONLINE
