Sapura Energy Collectively Bags RM1.0bil Worth Of Contracts

Sapura Energy Bhd’s subsidiaries in engineering and construction (E&C) division have collectively bagged RM1.0 billion worth of contracts in Malaysia and Brunei.

In an exchange filing today, the integrated oil and gas services provider said the contracts were expected to contribute positively towards the earnings of Sapura Energy and its group of companies for the relevant financial periods within the duration of the contracts.

Sapura Fabrication Sdn Bhd has secured a variation order for engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) of gas and condensate mercury removal unit (MRU) facilities under the existing contract for Pegaga development project by Mubadala Petroleum.

The variation order scope of work includes provision of EPCI for MRU facilities consisting of project management, follow-on engineering, procurement and subcontracting inclusive of MRU technology/equipment, construction and fabrication, transportation and installation and hook-up and commissioning of gas and condensate MRU facilities on Pegaga Integrated Central Processing Platform (ICPP).

Sapura Energy in the filing said the location of the work is off the coast of Sarawak, and the works are expected to be completed by the third quarter (Q3) of 2022.

Sapura Fabrication has also been awarded with a contract from Hess Exploration and Production Malaysia B.V. for the provision of engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning for full field development (FFD) Phase 4A facilities North Malay Basin (NMB) under the Petronas Frame Agreement – Package B.

The works package also includes two x 10″ flexible pipelines, and package subsea which consists of subsea in-line tee (ILT) skids, subsea isolation valves system (SSIV) skid, riser clamps, buckle trigger and riser splash zone joint.

Sapura Energy said all other facilities required to produce gas from KGA, DLA and TRT wellhead platforms.

All brownfield modification works necessary to tie-in the CPP facilities and controls / telecoms systems.

Works are expected to be completed by the first quarter (Q1) of the year ending December 31, 2025.

Sapura Technology Solutions Sdn Bhd has secured contract for supply, maintenance, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of total management system and Setel for Petronas station from Petronas Dagangan Bhd.

The contract scope of work comprises the supply and maintenance of the total management system for Petronas stations’ point of sales and automation system at all applicable Petronas petrol stations for a duration of 18-month.

Sapura Energy said the contract effective date on January 1, 2021.

Meanwhile, Sapura Offshore Sdn Bhd has clinched a work order for Bakau NAG Development Project under the Pan Malaysia Transportation and Installation of Offshore Facilities 2021 Campaign by Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd.

The work order scope comprises mobilisation of spreads, project management, interfacing, transportation and installation, pre and post survey, pre-commissioning of pipelines, removal of jacket anode and other optional works as specified in the work order.

The company has also been awarded with a work order for Bayan Gas Redevelopment Phase Two project under the Pan Malaysia Transportation and Installation of Offshore Facilities 2021 Campaign by Petronas Carigali.

The work order scope comprises project management, interfacing, transportation and installation, pre and post survey, pre-commissioning of pipelines and other optional works as specified in the work order.

Meanwhile, Sapura Fabrication Sdn Bhd (SFSB) has secured optional scope of works for the engineering and construction of a Wellhead Platform for Egret East Project from Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP).

The contact, which was exercised by BSP under the contract for the provision of engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) entered between BSP and SFSB on August 30, 2019.

“The optional scope of work is for the engineering, procurement, and construction of a wellhead platform which includes load out, sea fastening and post installation hook-up and commissioning in respect of Egret East Project.”

The works are expected to be completed by the second quarter of the year ending 2023. – NST ONLINE
