Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail, Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin and Titiwangsa member of parliament Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani have officially been announced as the new Umno vice-presidents for the 2023/26 term.
The matter was confirmed by Umno election committee chairman Tan Shahrir Abdul Samad at Menara Dato Onn here today.
According to the official tally, Wan Rosdy, who is also the Pahang Umno liaison committee chairman, has garnered votes from 124 divisions as of 2pm today.
His counterpart from Johor, Khaled defended his Umno vice-president post after the Kota Tinggi MP obtained votes from 114 party divisions.
“There are still four divisions which have yet to submit their election results,” Shahrir said.
“The committee, however, believes that the outcome of the polls at these four divisions will not change the current standing,” he added. – NST ONLINE
